Somerset Disabled Cricket Club secured the D40 Pursuit National Championship after defeating Middlesex in the final on August 30. The match took place at Corsham Cricket Club in Wiltshire, marking a significant milestone for the organization. Founded in 1997, the club has grown from nine players to 36 members across three teams. Captain Nick Dean, who has led the side since 2018, noted the achievement serves as validation for years of dedicated work within the inclusive environment. The organization plans to celebrate the victory at the Somerset County Ground this October. Moving forward, the club intends to recruit more players and continue expanding its reach during the off-season.
