Sotomayor running back Cameron Grady cleared to participate in season opener

Sotomayor senior running back Cameron Grady returned to the field Thursday for a game against Smithson Valley. Grady, who is committed to UTSA, had been sidelined earlier in the season. The player currently faces two counts of aggravated robbery stemming from an arrest in July and previously was required to wear an electronic tracking device. A judge granted a motion this week to remove the device, and a separate court order from July allows him to attend team practices and games. Northside Independent School District officials confirmed his eligibility for the matchup at Farris Stadium. Grady previously missed the team's season opener against Clark.
