South Mountain Community College narrowly lost to Pearl River Community College, 4-3, in the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series final held in Enid, Oklahoma, on May 30. The Cougars, who finished the season with a 52-18 record and were ACCAC Division II regular season champions for the third consecutive year, competed strongly throughout the tournament, averaging 9.5 runs per game. Coach Todd Eastin praised the team’s resilience and focus on player development. Four players were recognized as all-tournament selections, including standout pitcher Cody Stoller, who went 12-0 this season.
