South Point defeats T.C. Roberson 19-16 on late field goal

South Point improved to 3-0 on Friday, Sept. 4, after Wilson London kicked a 22-yard field goal as time expired to secure a 19-16 victory against T.C. Roberson. The Red Raiders built a 16-0 lead heading into the final quarter behind two touchdown runs from Kaveaun Pless and an earlier 38-yard field goal from London. T.C. Roberson rallied late in the game with two quick touchdown drives, including a 6-yard run from Karod Harris and a 23-yard pitch to Tristan Thompson-Wynn, to tie the score with nine minutes remaining. South Point mounted a final drive deep into Rams territory, aided by a crucial facemask penalty against the defense, to set up the winning kick. Following the result, South Point will travel to face Mount Pleasant in a Week 4 matchup. T.C. Roberson, now 2-1, prepares for a road game against Freedom.
