Sporting Kansas City acquires forward Ruben Ramos Jr. on loan from LA Galaxy

Sporting Kansas City acquired forward Ruben Ramos Jr. on loan from the LA Galaxy on Thursday. The 19-year-old US youth international will remain with Sporting Kansas City through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season. As part of the agreement, the LA Galaxy will receive up to $125,000 in General Allocation Money, with $75,000 guaranteed and $50,000 conditional. The transaction also includes a trade option for Sporting Kansas City. Ramos Jr. previously signed a homegrown deal with the LA Galaxy in 2024 and recorded 16 goals in 50 matches for their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Ventura County FC. He has represented the US at multiple youth international levels and recently contributed to the team's qualification for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
