St Helens centre Mark Percival will retire from rugby league at the conclusion of the 2026 Super League season. The 32-year-old made the announcement following medical advice to undergo a shoulder replacement after the current campaign. Percival has spent his entire 14-season professional career with St Helens after joining the club as a 14-year-old. Throughout his tenure, he contributed to five Super League title wins and secured four League Leaders' Shields, a Challenge Cup, and a World Club Challenge. St Helens chairman Eamonn McManus acknowledged Percival's contribution, noting that the player joins recent retirees Tommy Makinson and Jonny Lomax in departing the club.
