St. Joseph Academy's head coach Sal Marchese will not be present for the season opener against Conwell-Egan Catholic on August 28 due to a medical condition. Assistant coach Ronn Flaim has been named the acting head coach and offensive coordinator during Marchese's absence. Athletic director Chuck Donohue Jr. confirmed the situation and expressed hope for Marchese's swift recovery. Marchese was appointed head coach in October 2025, following his tenure at Delsea and an assistant position at Williamstown last fall.
