Stad and his wife, Elisa, committed $5 million to the Future Forward USA Action super PAC, supporting Kamala Harris’s 2024 presidential campaign. In addition, they previously donated $3 million to establish the Stad Center for Pediatric Pain, Palliative, and Integrative Medicine at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. Elisa Stad will serve as the governor of the Timberwolves, allowing Stad to focus on his role with Dragoneer. Both will retain significant influence over decisions regarding the team, according to sources.
