Steele football dominates Pieper in District 27-6A matchup

Steele Knights secured a decisive 64-28 victory over the Pieper Warriors in a District 27-6A game at Warrior Coliseum on September 25. The Knights scored on nine of their 11 possessions, led by Marshall Kenner's 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Liam Jones added three rushing scores, while Jamin Harvell caught two touchdown passes from DJ Green, who threw for 146 yards. After a brief resurgence from Pieper, Steele broke open the game with 21 consecutive points, establishing a 35-7 halftime lead. Steele's offense has outscored their district opponents 120-47 in conference play. Both teams will have a bye week before continuing their schedules, with Steele facing San Marcos on October 8 and Pieper playing Judson on October 9.
