Steelers sign linebacker Jacoby Windmon after previous practice squad stints

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed linebacker Jacoby Windmon, returning to a familiar face for the team. Windmon has spent recent seasons with the Carolina Panthers, where he played in nine games, contributing 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks. After a year in the UFL with the Columbus Aviators, where he achieved 3.5 sacks, Windmon re-joins the Steelers, having been on their practice squad in October 2025 and October 2024. The acquisition adds depth to the Steelers’ defense ahead of the upcoming season.
