Syracuse quarterback Steve Angeli returned to the field on Saturday for the first time in 350 days, leading the Orange to a 66-3 win over New Hampshire at the JMA Wireless Dome. Angeli completed 15 of 20 passes for 176 yards in the first half and finished the game with 263 yards and three touchdowns without committing a turnover. The senior quarterback missed the majority of the 2025 season following a torn Achilles injury sustained last year. Head coach Fran Brown opted to keep Angeli in the game through the third quarter to gain additional experience with an inexperienced offensive line. Angeli briefly gave the team a scare after staying down following a second-quarter hit, but he returned to the field for the subsequent drive. Syracuse is set to face an ACC opponent next week.
