Steven Bridges appointed chair of OVC board starting July 1

Steven J. Bridges, president of the University of Southern Indiana, has been named chair of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Board of Presidents and Chancellors, effective July 1. This position rotates annually among member institution presidents. In this role, Bridges will provide leadership and oversee board meetings and governance functions, succeeding John R. Porter of Lindenwood University. Bridges has extensive experience at USI, including previous roles in finance and administration. He expressed honor in serving as chair and a commitment to supporting the conference and its student-athletes.
