Supertri Chicago events start Saturday at Foster Beach with road closures

Supertri Chicago, formerly the Chicago Triathlon, launches Saturday at Foster Beach with kids and first-timer races. The event features a Kids Tri Chicago race beginning at 7 a.m. and a Super-Sprint race at 10 a.m. The main triathlon events are scheduled for Sunday, with various distances through downtown Chicago. Last year, Supertri Chicago raised $17.5 million and aims to exceed $125,000 for pediatric cancer research this year. Road closures are in effect throughout the weekend to accommodate the races.
