Sydney star Zippy Fish plays every minute of opening AFLW month

Sydney midfielder Zippy Fish has played every minute of her side's first four AFLW matches, a feat typically achieved only by key position defenders or forwards. Fish remains the only non-key position player this season to avoid the bench for an entire match. The second-year player currently averages 24.8 disposals and 5.0 tackles per game. She joins North Melbourne defenders Libby Birch and Jas Ferguson, and Hawthorn forward Aine McDonagh as the only athletes to maintain 100 per cent game time through the first month of the 2026 campaign. Last season, no player recorded full-game participation across the entire year. Sydney faces Greater Western Sydney at Henson Park on September 7, 2026.
