Syracuse players participate in NBA Summer League action in California

In the California Classic of the NBA Summer League, former Syracuse players William Kyle III and Maliq Brown participated in games on July 6, 2026. William Kyle scored 6 points, along with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals, helping the Los Angeles Lakers to an 88-84 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Maliq Brown started for the Spurs, contributing 2 points and 3 rebounds. Nate Kingz saw his first action with the Miami Heat, scoring one three-pointer in 12 minutes against the Golden State Warriors. Buddy Boeheim is also in Summer League with the Oklahoma City Thunder but has yet to appear in any games. Upcoming games will shift to Las Vegas on July 8.
