Texas A&M announces maroon home uniforms for kickoff against Missouri State

Texas A&M will open the 2026 season against Missouri State this Saturday, September 5. The program confirmed on Thursday that the team will wear maroon helmets, maroon jerseys, and white pants for the matchup. Coach Mike Elko enters his third season leading the Aggies, who are coming off an appearance in the 2025 College Football Playoff. The roster features 65 percent of the previous year's squad along with 17 transfer portal additions. Quarterback Marcel Reed returns to lead the offense, while new additions including Edge Anto Saka and cornerback Rickey Gibson are expected to contribute to the defensive front and secondary. This game serves as the first test for the team following their first-round exit from the postseason last year.
