Texas A&M defeats Missouri State in season-opening shutout

Texas A&M opened its 2026 college football season with a 50-0 victory over Missouri State at Kyle Field on Saturday. Quarterback Marcel Reed completed 21-of-30 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense. Transfer receiver Isaiah Horton contributed 76 yards on four catches in his Aggies debut, while the team finished with 505 total yards of offense. The defense held Missouri State to 67 total yards and forced two turnovers in the program's first opening-game shutout since 1993.
