Texas A&M leads SEC recruiting rankings for the class of 2027

As of September 7, 2026, the SEC maintains a strong presence in national recruiting rankings for the 2027 cycle, with 11 of the top 25 classes belonging to the conference. Texas A&M holds the top spot nationally with a class featuring five five-star prospects, including offensive tackle Mark Matthews. Texas ranks second in the SEC and sixth nationally, bolstered by the addition of four-star running back Landen Williams-Callis. Oklahoma, Florida, and LSU round out the top five SEC programs. While coaching changes and prospect reclassifications continue to influence team composition, most top recruits remain committed ahead of the December signing period. Only two senior blue-chip prospects remain uncommitted according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.
