The Texas Rangers placed relief pitchers Peyton Gray and Cole Winn on the 15-day injured list following medical evaluations. Winn is dealing with a rotator cuff strain, while Gray is sidelined with elbow inflammation, both of which could potentially end their seasons. To maintain bullpen depth, the team recalled righthanded pitcher Ben Peoples and lefthanded pitcher Robby Ahlstrom from the minor leagues. Peoples returns to the major league roster following several assignments between the Rangers and the minor leagues this year. Ahlstrom rejoins the team after a recent stretch of performance difficulties. The roster moves occur ahead of the expansion of major league rosters scheduled for tomorrow, which will allow the club to add additional pitchers and position players to the active squad.
