Timberwolves ended trade talks for Jaylen Brown over Celtics asking price

According to reports, the Boston Celtics sought a return package involving Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid. The Minnesota Timberwolves ultimately declined to meet the cost, citing the high price as an obstacle to completing the deal. Minnesota instead proceeded to trade Naz Reid to the Charlotte Hornets to acquire LaMelo Ball. The organization determined that the fit of LaMelo Ball alongside Anthony Edwards was more advantageous for the team than a potential pairing with Jaylen Brown. Jaylen Brown was subsequently traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
