Tom Perkovich leads UAlbany football team against University of Buffalo

University at Albany head coach Tom Perkovich returns to his hometown this Thursday as his team prepares to face the University of Buffalo. Perkovich, a Tonawanda native who played at Canisius University, will coach his first game in the area at 7 p.m. at Broadview Stadium. The Great Danes enter the matchup coming off a 28-14 victory over New Hampshire, a game where the team rushed for 374 yards and four touchdowns. Junior linebacker Dillon Dunathan earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors following his performance against the Wildcats, which included eight tackles and an interception. This nonleague contest marks a step up in competition for the FCS-based Great Danes against their MAC-level opponent.
