Tony Khan honors Andy Williams with 10-bell salute at ROH taping

AEW President Tony Khan opened the Ring of Honor taping in Jacksonville on Tuesday with a 10-bell salute for Andy Williams. The wrestler, known as "The Butcher" and as a guitarist for the band Every Time I Die, died at age 48 over the weekend. Williams collapsed at ringside during an Enjoy Wrestling event in Pennsylvania, where medics performed CPR before canceling the show. While the cause of death is pending, initial reports from the scene indicated symptoms consistent with a cardiac event. Williams performed in AEW for several years alongside his tag team partner, The Blade, until the duo ended their tenure with the company in early 2025. Khan paid tribute to Williams with a memorial graphic on the arena tron while addressing the audience before the show commenced.
