Tottenham advances talks with West Ham for Mateus Fernandes

Summary

Tottenham Hotspur is in advanced discussions with West Ham United regarding a transfer for Mateus Fernandes, reportedly valued at £85 million. The negotiations come as Spurs aim to strengthen their squad under new manager Roberto De Zerbi. With West Ham's relegation, they insist on a significant up-front payment. Tottenham's overall financial package and salary offer to Fernandes exceed what Manchester United has proposed. The 21-year-old midfielder appears keen on moving to Tottenham, although Manchester United remains interested but may shift focus to avoid a bidding war.
