Tracy McGrady highlights Timberwolves as Western Conference dark horse

Tracy McGrady expressed his confidence in the Minnesota Timberwolves' potential to be a surprise contender in the Western Conference during the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season. With the addition of LaMelo Ball, McGrady believes the Timberwolves have a more dynamic backcourt, which will relieve pressure from Anthony Edwards late in games. He emphasized that this will unlock more offensive opportunities for the team, including for Rudy Gobert. The Timberwolves aim to disrupt the dominance of the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs, who are considered favorites heading into the season.
