Trinity takes first place in the week three Midwest football rankings

Trinity of Louisville leads the latest USA TODAY Sports Super 15 Midwest region football rankings after starting the season with a 2-0 record. The Shamrocks moved into the top spot following a 52-21 victory over Christian Brothers, bolstered by four touchdowns from Jamaurion Berry. Brownsburg sits at No. 2, while East St. Louis dropped to No. 3 after an overtime loss to American Heritage. Other programs maintaining momentum include Massillon Washington and Bishop Watterson, the latter extending its winning streak to 32 games. Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel secured its first win of the season by overcoming a 30-0 deficit to defeat St. Joseph Regional 44-38. These rankings reflect a fluid early-season as teams across the region prepare for games scheduled for the first week of September.
