Tucker Kraft expects to return from PUP list soon

The Packers took tight end Tucker Kraft off the PUP list on Friday and he will start being phased into the team's practices over the near future.

Packers star tight end Tucker Kraft was activated off the physically unable to perform list Friday, less than nine months after surgery to repair the torn ACL in his right knee.

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is coming off the physically unable to perform list as he continues his comeback from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The move clears Kraft to return to practice, though Packers coach Matt LaFleur said the 2023 third-round draft pick wouldn’t be participating in team drills for now. “We’re just going to kind of get him back ingrained into the process and into individual,” LaFleur said before the Packers’ practice Friday.

Kraft is back and will practice on Friday, though on a limited basis to ramp him up to a full workload.

Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier Wednesday that tight end Tucker Kraft will return "sooner rather than later."

Echoing what Brian Gutekunst said earlier on Wednesday, Packers TE Tucker Kraft believes he'll come off the PUP list and begin practicing soon.
