Tyler Legacy records first season win against Mesquite

Tyler Legacy defeated Mesquite 61-35 on Thursday night at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler. This result secures the first win of the season for the Red Raiders after the team opened its schedule with two consecutive losses against Class 5-A opponents. The defeat leaves the Mesquite Skeeters winless with an 0-3 record heading into their next contest. Tyler Legacy now holds a 1-2 record as the team prepares to begin District 10-6A play. The Red Raiders will face the Rockwall Heath Hawks at home next week with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Mesquite Skeeters are slated to travel to Dallas for their District 7-5A Division I opener against the Dallas Adams Cougars.
