Tyrrell Hatton completes first round after returning from home during delay

Tyrrell Hatton finished his first round at the British Masters with a 3-under 69 on Friday, almost 35 hours after it began at the Belfry. The round experienced significant delays due to Thursday's storms, prompting Hatton to return home briefly before resuming play. As of Friday evening, play was once again suspended during Round 2, with several players partially through their rounds. Marco Penge, meanwhile, achieved an impressive eagle on his opening hole and led the tournament at 11 under at the time of the suspension.
