UAlbany kicker RJ Kocan records first field goals of college career

University at Albany kicker RJ Kocan successfully converted his first collegiate field goal attempts during a 21-17 loss to the University at Buffalo last week. The graduate transfer from West Virginia connected on a 46-yard kick late in the first half after waiting five years to attempt a field goal in a game. Kocan also successfully kicked two extra points during the contest, bringing his season total to 6-for-6 on extra point attempts. A native of Riverhead, New York, Kocan played for West Virginia for four seasons before transferring to UAlbany for his final year of eligibility. He previously scored only one college point during his tenure with the Mountaineers. UAlbany now prepares to play Long Island University this Saturday.
