UConn defeats Lafayette 56-7 in the season opener at East Hartford

UConn opened its season with a 56-7 victory over Lafayette in East Hartford on Saturday. Quarterback Kalieb Osborne, making his debut as the starter, accounted for 355 total yards and four touchdowns. The UConn offense scored 35 points in the first half to secure an early lead, while the defense held Lafayette to 209 total yards.
