UConn football rebuilds running back room for the 2026 season

UConn enters the 2026 season with an entirely new group of running backs following the departure of five key players who previously accounted for 1,870 rushing yards. Cam Edwards, Mel Brown, Victor Rosa, Oliver Lundberg Coleman, and MJ Flowers have all transferred, leaving coach Jason Candle to integrate several incoming transfers. The new depth chart includes Kenji Christian, who joined after stints at North Carolina A&T and Toledo, and Cyncir Bowers, a junior college transfer with significant yardage history.
