UConn hosts Lafayette for Jason Candle's first game as head coach

UConn opens its college football season Saturday at noon against Lafayette at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Head coach Candle has not yet identified a starting quarterback, with Jake Merklinger, Kalieb Osborne, and Tucker McDonald currently competing for the role.
