University of Utah football superfans maintain extensive Ute-themed basement in Riverton

Albert and Marianna Gamboa have converted their Riverton home basement into a dedicated space for University of Utah football memorabilia. The couple, who immigrated from Venezuela and Slovakia, hosts friends and fellow supporters in a space featuring a billiards table designed like Rice-Eccles Stadium turf. The basement also includes a specialized bathroom set up to mimic a radio station, complete with a headset and soundproof panels. University of Utah head coach Morgan Scalley visited the home recently to tour the collection. Scalley recognized the couple for their dedication to the program, describing them as the best Ute fans in the world in a signed note on their wall. The space serves as a central gathering point for the Gamboas to entertain guests and celebrate the team.
