Viera and Holy Trinity athletes compete at Astronaut Invitational cross country meet

Brevard County high school cross country teams gathered at Chain of Lakes Park in Titusville on September 12 for the Astronaut Invitational. In the girls race, Viera senior Eva McMenemy-Hoang secured the silver medal with a time of 19:09.9, finishing behind Wiregrass Ranch runner Natalia Gaona-Zelaya. West Shore junior Selah Vignier took bronze, clocking in at 19:31.4. Holy Trinity claimed the girls team title with 66 points, finishing 32 points ahead of second-place Ransom Everglades. Brevard County runners accounted for seven of the top 10 finishers during the competition. The event served as the first regular season meet for the Viera program.
