Von Miller negotiates for number 40 jersey with teammate Hunter Luepke

Linebacker Von Miller is nearing an agreement with Dallas Cowboys teammate Hunter Luepke to secure the number 40 jersey for the upcoming season. Miller, a veteran who recently joined the team, wore the number during his college career at Texas A&M. While he initially offered Luepke a lifetime supply of chicken from his poultry farm, the two ultimately reached a deal involving an equity stake in Miller’s business, Greener Pastures Chicken. Miller stated he is 90 percent certain the arrangement will be finalized. Although the Cowboys currently list both players as number 40 on their official roster, the team’s pro shop has begun selling Miller jerseys featuring the number, while the listing for Luepke currently lacks a number designation. The negotiation marks a resolution to the conflict between the veteran player and the fourth-year fullback.
