Voting opens for 2026 Longplex Preseason Girls Volleyball Player

Voting is now open for the 2026 Longplex Preseason Girls Volleyball Player, allowing fans to select standout players before the season begins. The poll closes Sunday night, Aug. 16, at midnight, with the first practice scheduled for Monday, Aug. 17. North Kingstown enters the season as a favorite, having won four consecutive titles and returning Kayleigh Garrepy, the Journal's player of the year. Other notable candidates include Gabriella Andrade of Prout, Darryl Ashilaka of Cumberland, Adrian Brzoza of La Salle, and Tayla Schneider of North Kingstown. The official season starts on Aug. 31.
