Washington defeats Maryland in Big Ten women's soccer conference opener

Maryland goalkeeper Faith Luckey recorded five saves during the match, though the Terps struggled to generate offense, recording only two total shots. The Terps failed to place a shot on target during the first half and struggled to maintain possession throughout the contest. Maryland continues its West Coast trip with a match against Oregon on Sunday.
