Wayne Rooney criticizes Manchester United's attacking signings for this season

Summary

Wayne Rooney has expressed strong disapproval of Manchester United’s attacking signings, stating they are insufficient for future success. The club's summer acquisitions included Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha, who have underwhelmed, particularly in the early stages of the 2026/2027 season. Mbeumo has performed best among the trio with four goals, while Cunha and Sesko have struggled, with Sesko sidelined due to injury. Rooney argues that these players are not the right caliber to elevate United in the Premier League and Champions League.
