West Alabama secures 27-17 victory over Tuskegee in Red Tails Classic

West Alabama defeated Tuskegee 27-17 on Sunday, August 30, at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. The game remained close through the third quarter, during which West Alabama struggled with two turnovers and a missed field goal. The momentum shifted in the fourth quarter when a Tuskegee turnover on downs set up a 37-yard touchdown pass from Luther Richesson to Kaden Cupp, extending the West Alabama lead. A subsequent fumble by Tuskegee allowed Richesson to score again and solidify the win. Richesson finished the night with 215 passing yards and three touchdowns, complemented by 93 rushing yards. Despite the loss, Tuskegee quarterback Bryson McGrew produced 215 passing yards and 83 rushing yards, scoring one touchdown through the air and another on the ground.
