West Branch shuts out Howland 34-0 to stay undefeated

West Branch defeated Howland 34-0 in Beloit on Friday to improve to 4-0 on the season. The Warriors established a 20-0 lead by halftime behind two rushing touchdowns and a passing score from Grady Hirst. Hirst finished the contest with 171 passing yards and a team-high 89 rushing yards. Damon Edwards added two rushing scores for the Warriors, who held Howland to 9 rushing yards and forced three interceptions. The defensive effort restricted Howland to six first downs throughout the game. Howland falls to 3-1 with the loss and will travel to face Carrollton in week five, while West Branch prepares for a road matchup against Marlington.
