West Virginia adds former Georgia safety JaCorey Thomas to secondary

Thomas, a veteran who started eight games for Georgia in 2025, provides immediate experience to a defensive unit that ranked last in the Big 12 in passing yards allowed last season. Thomas participated in a Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp this offseason but did not sign a professional contract, allowing him to pursue a final year of college eligibility. Thomas is the cousin of NFL veterans Khalil Mack and Ledarius Mack.
