West Virginia Soccer Association approves integration of U.S. Youth Soccer federation

The West Virginia Soccer Association voted to approve the integration of U.S. Youth Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Federation. The decision, finalized during the organization's Annual General Meeting, comes after a narrow vote. Executive Director Dave Laraba stated the move will provide additional resources for coaching education, referee support, and grassroots programming across the state. While the integration process began on September 1, 2026, officials noted that changes will not be immediate for local clubs. The transition is scheduled to occur over a two-year period. U.S. Youth Soccer is the first major American club governing body to join with the U.S. Soccer Federation in this capacity.
