Westlake maintains top Austin-area volleyball rank after recent wins

Westlake remains the top-ranked Class 6A volleyball team in the Austin area following victories against Dripping Springs and Austin High. The team enters district play with a 26-6 record. Despite a 1-1 performance last week, Lake Travis retains its hold on the second spot in the Class 6A rankings. Elsewhere, Liberty Hill ascended to the top position in Class 5A, moving ahead of Georgetown as Anderson fell to third place. In the Class 4A and below division, Wimberley holds the first-place ranking. The latest poll also notes movement in the lower classes, with Thrall and Gateway College Prep entering the top five while St. Stephen's dropped out of the rankings. These standings reflect the final results heading into the commencement of Austin-area district play.
