White Sox on short list to sign free agent Tarik Skubal

Tarik Skubal is a prime free-agent target after being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers and is expected to become a free agent this winter. Jim Bowden of The Athletic lists the Chicago White Sox as one of the best fits to sign Skubal, alongside the New York Mets and Dodgers. The White Sox, who recently reached the AL Division Series, have limited payroll commitments, potentially allowing them to compete for Skubal's services. His previous success includes winning the American League Cy Young Award in 2024 and 2025, making him a highly sought-after player this offseason.
