Hoover's Will Adams has been awarded the ASWA Mr. Baseball for the 2026 high school baseball season, announced at the Alabama Sports Writers Association conference in Jacksonville. Adams posted impressive statistics, hitting.489 with 13 home runs and 52 RBIs. A number of players also received player of the year honors across different classifications. Last year's winner, Steele Hall, was taken in the first round of the 2025 MLB Draft and is currently with the Reds' Rookie Affiliate. The ASWA recognizes outstanding high school baseball players annually, showcasing talent throughout Alabama.
