Will Ospreay claims AEW world title at All In in London

Tonight’s (Sept. 2) episode of Dynamite featured AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, AEW National Champion Andrade, and the United Empire defeating a combination of The Dogs and The Demand in a 10-man tag team match. After the match was over, Gabe Kidd was hell-bent on killing Ospreay with a steel chair. That’s when AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley came down to the ring and put himself in harm’s way to prevent Kidd from doing so, even though Kidd is technically part of Jon’s Death Riders faction. Jon put his hand on the back of Will’s head and they stood in that position staring at each other for a moment. Everyone in the building then looked at the big video screen, which revealed that Tony Khan just booked Ospreay vs. Moxley for the AEW world title at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view in Chicago on Sept. 26. This news was met with a very loud “Holy shit!” chant from the audience, and both stars also looked surprised by the decision. Just as AEW World Champion @WillOspreay and @JonMoxley looked to be back on the same page, it was announced that they'll battle for the AEW World Title at #AEWAllOut, Saturday 9/26! New AEW World Champion Will Ospreay kicked off tonight’s (Sept. 2) episode of Dynamite with a promo to celebrate the biggest win of his career when he beat Kenny Omega for the gold at All In 2026. During the course of this interview, Ospreay admitted that Kenny has been the best wrestler in the world for the last 10 years, and he still regards Omega as better than him for 364 days out of the year. But Sunday at Wembley Stadium was the one day where that wasn’t the case, and now Ospreay is the new world champion. It wasn’t clear to me if he meant the existing United Empire faction in NJPW, or creating his brand new version of it in AEW. Regardless, this is when heels like Ricochet and Gabe Kidd came out to crash the party. Ospreay’s allies in the United Empire had his back, setting up what AEW’s social media calls a MASSIVE main event match between them, The Dogs, and The Demand for later in the night. The Demand & The Dogs thought they had the advantage over @WillOspreay, but United Empire arrived to set the stage for a MASSIVE Tag Main Event TONIGHT! All Elite Wrestling, better known as AEW, put on its biggest show of the year at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The main event featured champion Kenny Omega, arguably the greatest wrestler of his generation, up against the United Kingdom’s favorite wrestling son, the “Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay. This was as good of a matchup on…

The main event of today’s (Aug. 30) All In London saw Kenny Omega defend the AEW world championship against Will Ospreay. During the course of the bout, Omega continued his recent heel turn by blasting Ospreay in the head with a monitor outside the ring. Ospreay was bleeding buckets, leaving the AEW commentators concerned about his career and livelihood. An overzealous @WillOspreay shoved the referee, but that opened the door for @KennyOmegamanX to crack Ospreay over the head with a monitor! The referee considered stopping the match, but Kenny said he wasn’t done destroying his opponent. He demonstrated exactly what he meant by executing a Dragon Suplex on the ring apron. Ospreay was seriously hurt and almost lost the match following a German suplex from the ropes. SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX ON THE APRON FROM @KENNYOMEGAMANX! Ospreay landed a Styles Clash, but Omega wouldn’t stay down for the three count. Omega got back in the fight when he countered the Os-cutter with a knee to the back of Will’s neck. The champ then went for a career-killing shot when he put Ospreay down with devastating Tiger Driver ‘91. It should have been over after Omega hit his One-Winged Angel finisher, but Ospreay miraculously kicked out of the pin attempt. The Best Bout Machine went for another One-Winged Angel, but this time it was Bruv who countered with an even sicker looking bump on a Tiger Driver ‘91 right on Kenny’s neck. Omega had trouble using his left arm, presumably due to compressed vertebrae and nerve damage, as a result. TIGER DRIVER 91 FROM @WILLOSPREAY!
