Will Ospreay details recovery from neck surgery before AEW World Championship win

Will Ospreay has opened up about the severe neck injury that threatened his wrestling career prior to his championship victory at AEW All In in London. The AEW star began experiencing numbness in his hand during the 2024 Continental Classic, eventually losing arm function after routine bumps in the ring. Following a medical evaluation, Ospreay underwent surgery last September to address the condition. He spent six months in recovery, citing John Cena’s injury rehabilitation as a source of motivation. While he remains unable to perform certain maneuvers that require extreme neck extension, Ospreay reports that he has adapted his in-ring style to compete safely. He successfully returned to action to capture the AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium.
