Summary

The Boston Red Sox face the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night, but will be without first baseman Willson Contreras. He left Friday's game after being hit in the helmet by a fastball and is currently undergoing concussion testing. Interim manager Chad Tracy indicated that Contreras is feeling better but is being held out as a precaution. Nick Sogard replaces him in the lineup, batting sixth. The Red Sox, pursuing their eighth consecutive series win, will start rookie lefty Payton Tolle against All-Star right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto for the Dodgers.
