Winston-Salem Dash defeat Bowling Green Hot Rods for division title

The Winston-Salem Dash secured a 4-1 victory against the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Thursday, completing a two-game sweep to claim the South Atlantic League Southern Division championship. Grant Umberger started the game for the Dash, allowing three hits and no walks while striking out 11 batters over 6 1/3 innings. James Taussig contributed to the scoring with his 26th home run of the season in the third inning, while Javier Mogollón added two RBIs with a triple in the second. Jake Curtis entered in the seventh inning to relieve Umberger and retired all eight batters he faced to earn the save. This victory advances the Dash to the South Atlantic League Championship Series, scheduled for September 13.
