WWE is evaluating a long-term strategy to incorporate live musical performances into major events, mirroring the halftime show concept used in professional sports. TKO executives are testing this format at the upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, where rapper Quavo is scheduled to perform. Internally, reports suggest the company is moving toward booking musical acts as standalone attractions during premium shows. In other company developments, Bayley has reportedly re-signed with WWE and is expected to take on a role involving responsibilities beyond on-screen appearances. Shawn Michaels prioritized Grayson Waller as the new NXT champion shortly after his arrival at the brand due to his perceived strength as a top heel. Meanwhile, production is underway on vignettes for Royce Keys and OTM, and Oba Femi recently addressed the support he received from Brock Lesnar following their match at SummerSlam.

- 5:00 AMCageside Seats — Rumor Roundup (Sept. 4, 2026): WWE now wants concerts, Bayley re-signs, Men on a Mission, more!
"WWE’s biggest shows probably feature a little too much wrestling and not enough live music, right? Let’s see what today’s rumors have to say about it! Top rumor of the day: WWE wants to add concerts to its major events According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE originally planned for Lil Yachty to perform a live concert this weekend at Sunday Night’s Main Event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. With Yachty now working a match against Baron Corbin on that card, TKO still wanted a musical performance to take place, hence the announcement that rapper Quavo will be there to perform. There may be something bigger going on here, however. It sounds like TKO wants to test the waters to see if live concerts will “enhance the overall experience” for WWE fans in attendance at these big events. Votes heard there is a long-term vision for WWE to have its own version of halftime shows from major sporting events, where there could be a musical performance as its own attraction within the show. Sure, because if there is one thing wrestling fans definitely want to experience at wrestling shows, it’s more wrestling concerts, I guess? The rest of the rumors! Following up on this week’s report about Bayley returning to Raw soon, False Finish heard there are people in WWE who believe she has already re-signed and “will be more involved with the company and not just as an on screen talent.” WrestleVotes was told that the decision to make Grayson Waller the new NXT champion happened “almost immediately” once Shawn Michaels learned that Waller was coming to the brand. That’s because there are a lot of people internally who see Waller’s upside as a top heel who can be a heat magnet. It was emphasized that the decision to go with Waller as the new champ is “not an indictment” on former champion Tony D’Angelo. It is believed that he will remain in NXT for now rather than being called up to the main roster. Votes also claims that WWE was filming “Men on a Mission” style vignettes for Royce Keys and OTM outside of Orlando this week, which will explain their relationship. Per Fightful Select, the belief in AEW is that next year’s All In 2027 event will take place somewhere in North America, instead of returning to Wembley Stadium in London. Oba Femi told Alabama’s ABC affiliate WBMA that Brock Lesnar’s endorsement of him after their Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam was something that surprised him, WWE’s camera crew, and everyone else.
